Palaeontologists provide much of the knowledge we have about fossils, dinosaurs and other extinct species. Investigate and explore palaeontology and examine some specimen’s palaeontologists have found. In a hands-on experience, students learn about the process of fossilisation and how these discoveries help fill in the blanks in the evolutionary tree.

Learning Outcomes
Learners will:

· Describe the role of a palaeontologist

· Understand the process of fossilisation

· Understand the importance of studying fossils to describe extinct species
