Hometown
Pukekawa, tucked in the countryside.
Favourite object or taonga
The towering giant moa models and remains. Their remains are a precious homage to the order Dinornithiformes, and remind us that modern conservation efforts can prevent other species from facing the same fate.
Favourite part or exhibit of the museum
The entomology specimen drawers. I could pore over those for hours, every visit.
Fun fact
It is not uncommon to find me where the wildlife is, camera in hand, if need be in the middle of the night, or on the ground (or both), to get the perfect shot. This often serves as inspiration for art down the track.
