Hometown
Born and bred in Tāmaki Makaurau but I whakapapa to Tāmaki-nui-ā-Rua and Te Awamutu.
Favourite object or taonga
I love the taonga we refer to as the Kaitāia carving, because it is a tohu of evolution in our artforms as well as our connection to the Pacific in our deep past, as Māori.
Favourite part or exhibit of the museum
This is always changing as I delve into the different facets of knowledge, but, at the moment, its Māori Natural History: a trove of whakapapa.
Fun fact
When I am not working here, I spend most of my time making art.
