These Curiosity Crates are for the following year groups: Years 1-3, Years 4-6, Years 7–8 and Years 9-13

The Kete Wānanga are curated handling objects that provide learners with the opportunity to connect with Auckland Museum's unique biological collections in your own classroom. Each Kete contains specimens to Inspire Curiosity, stimulate enquiry and promote discussion and connections to students' environment from within the classroom. Choose from one of three themes: Waitī | Freshwater, Te Wao Nui | Forest & Moana | Marine. Curiosity Crates will be delivered in week 1 of each term and collected in the last week of the term allowing your whole school to build knowledge through these unique learning resources.

Learning Outcomes
Learners will:

· Understand the relationships between organisms and the way they are impacted by humans

· Understand the diverse adaptations of organisms

· Make observations about Museum specimens

· Consider the connection between living and non-living things
