Sara holds a Post Graduate Diploma Secondary Teaching from Auckland University of Technology, as well as a PhD in Immunology from the University of Otago.

Sara has worked across the ECE, Primary, Secondary, and Tertiary sectors focussed on Science and STEAM education. She is passionate about delivering engaging and contextualised Science education that empowers ākonga with a sense of kaitiakitanga.
